Data and digital consultancy V2 Digital has fleshed out its cloud, data and artificial intelligence offerings with the hiring of two new directors: Shane Baldacchino and Steve Tzortzidis.

Baldacchino joins the company as director of cloud while Tzortzidis was hired as director of data and AI, with the pair both being based in V2’s Melbourne office. Both of these roles are new for the company and have been create due to client demand. However, Peter Stanski, V2 CTO, previously managed the responsibilities associated with these roles.

As director of cloud, Baldacchino will be responsible for the consultancy’s cloud practice, shaping and executing cloud strategy and helping with client cloud adoption and delivery.

He comes into the role with over 20 years of IT experience, with the last two at Microsoft as chief architect for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ). Prior to this, he previously worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS), SEEK and Webstrike Solutions, among other companies.0 of 8 minutes, 39 secondsVolume 0%00:0008:39Meanwhile, Tzortzidis is tasked with spearheading initiatives around data, breaking down silos and establishing data platforms for AI.

He brings with him 15 years of IT experience, with the last five years spent at Servian. His last position before moving was director. Additionally, he has also worked at The Good Guys for more than nine years of his career.

“As V2 Digital rapidly scales, we’re focusing on attracting and retaining those at the top of their game in the industry,” said V2 CEO Craig Howe.

“Our mission is to accelerate advantage through data and AI, software, cloud and customer experience and I’m confident both Shane and Steve will be instrumental in ensuring we achieve this for our clients.”
